any of the former republics Cuba all other have had lot of troubles with Russians not returning after having visas granted so it made it bad for the rest who are legit

I know that in Thailand, Russians and Ukrainians can get in for a month with a visa applied for after arrival in Thailand. It is almost automatic and it costs - it may have gone up recently - B100 (one hundred baht). You must have a return ticket and a hotel to go to and if called upon, you must show some money or travelers checks to keep you, but I do not know how much, because I have never seen it asked for. I have seen these visas on arrival granted many times.

Russians are visafree/Russians do NOT need a visa to Costa Rica, Ecuador, Antigua, Barbados, Dominica, Granada, St Vincent, Cuba, Dominican Rep, Haiti, Fiji, Samoa, Vanuatu, Micronesia, Malaysia, Namibia, Korea, Seychelles, Bosnia......
nor to Croatia, Macedonia and Slovenia on a good day (meaning, the Russian is visafree if they have the easily obtainable tourist voucher).

Russians are also effectively visafree (meaning they do not have to organise anything before arriving into the desired country - it's simply a visa on arrival) also to Lebanon, Syria, Cambodia, Turkey, Maldives, Jordon, Jamaica, Tonga, Palau, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Bangladesh, Burkino Faso, Comores, Kenya, Madagascar, Sao Tome, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, Niue, Cook Isl, Macao.
