As the others have said, you'll need an extra visa for Macedonia.
As for where can you travel : Several EU & EFTA countries have or are in the process of introducing legislation that allows people with long term visas/residency permits to travel without applying for a visa. E.g. Switzerkand is one that has already passed such legislation.
Whether or not your student visa qualifies is something you need to take up with the individual embassies of the countries you want to visit, as it depends on your exact immigration status in the UK. |

A visa is specifically for the country you are traveling in. It offers you no rights in any other country. If you wish to enter another country, you will need to obtain a visa for that country.
Territories of countries can usually be counted as that country for purposes of traveling with a visa.
That said, some countries have a common agreement to honor visas from the other country. The most prevalent example is the Schengen Agreement, which covers the majority of Europe. Unfortunately, the UK and Ireland have only agreed to the police and judicial co-operation sections of this, meaning that their visas do not transfer.
Finally, I would highly recommend you simply call your embassy or the Macedonia embassy. Either will be able to answer your question. |
