It depends on the what kind of visa you're applying for.If it's an immigrant visa, they will ask you questions verifying the authencity of your relationship to the one petitioning you.If it's a tourist visa, they will ask you about your capacity to be a tourist.

They don`t ask you anything... just see if your documents are in place and give you a date to come back and yeah obviously they give you a ticket no. to come back with
