I think they are not really friends with the US as Bush and others have tried to claim. They educate their young children to hate the west and have more than their share of extremist Muslims. Over 50% of the 9/11 hijackers were Saudi's. So I don't trust them at all.

Saudi Arabia is a vast, incredible country, with a incredibly diverse population, though not necessarily readily apparently so. That said, the only Saudis I have ever had real problems with were those few fanatics who deemed me entirely unworthy because I was neither Saudi nor Muslim.

King Abdul Aziz ibne Saud was the Lord Temporal and his mentor, Imam Mohamed bin Abdul Wahab Najadi was the Spiritual Lord. His writ only rules there.
Prophet allowed christians to pray in the Mosque. Now the Saudi Govt. does not allow churches to be buillt.!
So if any one were to see real Islam there , he will be sadly
disappointed.
