By international agreement establishing headquarters in New York, the United Nations Headquarters and any of their offices are sovereign soil. But by special agreement, the UN can invite the city's emergency services in in time of crisis. The police and fire departments have responded frequently to events at Headquarters and their offices and guarded the facilities during the attacks on 9/11 and during subsequent scares. You can get further information on the United Nations' relationship with New York City through the United Nations Department of Public Information (UNDPI) at 1 UN Plaza, NYC, or through the New York City Department of Diplomatic and Consular Services. Both have web sites.

we can only hope it would be the UN, they would never get there **** together in time to stop the UN from being destroyed. By the time they had all there committee meetings it would have burnt to the ground! whooo hooo! :D
