What is a PERMANT RECORD?

i did something wrong at work and i didn't get fired,but they said it would go on my permanant record.

It goes into your personnel file within that company. This may affect you if you're applying for a better job within the company. They cannot share this information with other companies. It's for internal purposes only and it would only affect your promotions and/or bonuses.

Erm... well... (I'm a kid so I'll give you the best answer FROM a kid)... I don't believe they can do that. A permanent record is a record of the things you have acheived - both honorable (awards, etc) and disgraceful (getting a speeding ticket, stealing, etc). I think only schools can do that... but, of course, it could alter your next application to another job. I hope whatever you did, it wasn't serious. When you are considered the next time you apply for a job, the employer is free to contact your previous employers - even your teachers... Good luck! I hope it turns out alright for you!
