What is a sure way to get a Visa for US?

I'm a green card holder living in Seattle, WA. I want to sponser my cousin who is in INDIA. What is a promising base, I mean should I use Visitor or student or is there any other. he is 21 years old. and never been out of India.

You cannot "sponsor" him for permanent residence, If he wants to come for a visit technically it's a tourist visa, but given his age there may be a hard time overcoming his presumption that he will try to stay in the US. If he is able to get admitted to a school and pay his way for an extended time, then a student visa is definitely a good choice. They are rarely turned down. And a US education will serve him well either in India or in the US.

Yet WarRock is cruising the US Yahoo site for Yahoo Answers ... go figure! Hypocrite. He's probably the type who throws acid on low caste folks, and thinks he's special 'cause he's "high caste," or whatever that's supposed to mean. Would never fit in in our egalitarian society here.

Anyways, I think it's easier for young people to come over as students, but your cousin could also come as a tourist on a B-2 visa. Keep in mind that to qualify for either of those visas, he'll need to prove his intent to return to India at the end of his studies or visit. Check out the US Embassy site in New Delhi for more info, or travel.state.gov.
