Someone that comes into the country unlawfully with no respect or regaurds for our laws,Millions of Illegal immigrants are now in America draining it of money in 2 ways.1They work here and send billions back home out of this country each year.2.They have babies here which the tax paying citizens pay for along with healthcare and welfare for that child which costs us billions more per year.There is no excuse for them to be here other then pure greed and disrespect for our culture if they can get work visa's and come here legally.Beware,some bleeding hearts actually think they do more good than bad here in America.Nonsense.

it is to be in a country without the government knowing about it. To work in that country without a work permit.

As oppose to what greg says, most illegal immigrants obey the laws and are safer drivers than american citizens because if they break the law they are sent out of the country. Also most people on wellfare are not illegal immigants as you have to be a citizen to register for those things.

They are merely people who work (normally under the table, but sometimes with fake documents) for companies and try to live in the US without the government knowing. The government current lets in about 420,000 immigrants a year, but we get much more than that.

People tend to dislike them because of really stupid reasons. Some say they take our jobs, but they take really low, unskilled jobs. The highest job i've seen an illegal immigant get is a dish washer. Most of the time it is working in a factory doing manual labour that most people dont want to do anyway.

Then people say they dont pay taxes, and that is only if they are working under the table. Again, if you allowed them to be citizens, you would get those taxes.

Some people say they send their money back to the other country, as if that is really suppose to hurt our economy. It does jack nothing to hurt the economy. At most, i would suspect it hurts the by .001% of our money and that is a large number.

And yes, they do have rights in some countries. The USA gives rights to any person here, illegal or not. They have the right to due process. They cannot be found to be illegal then shot because they have no rights. These are people too.

It's when someone crosses a border into another country without the proper paperwork stating they can be here. That person has no rights in that country.
