Diplomatic one entitles you to Diplomatic immunity. Official one means that while you're also serving the country you're not entitled to that diplomatic immunity.

Diplomatic is for members of the diplomatic corp,, official is for government official The standard one is for the man in the street

If you mean by official my Passport for example. A lot.
If I commit a crime of any kind , I get punished, Diplomats get a vacation.
