It is not a need as per se. It is a process that is driven by free trade and open markets. Increasingly easy communications and transportation are enablers. People's ambition and profit motive drives them to explore new opportunities. All these things drive globablization. |

globalizatio is not a "need" it is rather a "fact" and we have to view it that way. see the effect of internet for example --I am answering your question and we don't know each other and probably we are thousand of miles apart...yet we share the same concern, the same issues, the same problems and sometimes the same solutions. Thus globalization is here to stay and stronger it will get. |

Globalization means getting the entire planet under one government structure, one currency, and eventually even one religion. It's closer than you think. The entire European Union has one currency. Going from country to country in the EU is as easy as going from state to state in the US. Washington is involved in legislation now that will make traveling similar between the US, Mexico, and Canada. Sooner or later even the most hardened non-believer is going to have to look up and acknowledge that the Bible has predicted this and is right. Pick up a bible and a newspaper, the events are unfolding. I know I'm going to get slammed for this, but the end is near. The time to confess your sins, ask forgiveness, and turn to Jesus is now. Be sure. Please don't wait another moment. Investigate for yourself. Along with your bible, here are two good starting places. |

Wow. Please don't ever use the "left behind" series as a resource for explaining globalization ever again. That just showcases your stupidity. Like the other more intelligent people above me have stated, Globalization is not a need. It's just something that is bound to happen. Due to our now greater capabilities to spread information, travel and trade goods - we have a worldwide interconnectedness that is only going to grow and spread. While areas will of course keep thier unique cultures things such as currency will probably eventually (in the long run) change to something more universal. |
