What will America do if China fails to ship consumer merchandise. Are we planning for this?

Cosco shipping brings billions of pounds of cargo to American ports. This corporation is owned by the Communist Party. A subsidary of the enemy army. Further, when the people of China fight fot their civil rights "one day" when they demand raises for their labor will America suffer the punishment? There are those who believe that outsourcing is only to save ceo's and shareholders millions. But this is a great opportunity to build relations as we all work for world peace

Well, we'll end up paying more for what we have. It's basic economics of supply and demand. Look at fuel prices. They cut the supply, and we pay more, yet we still pay.

What business likes is stability. China more or less has stability and people who are willing to do things cheap at all costs.

It outlaws unions, so anyone that tries to organise one will surely find themselves in prison. Think Tiananmen and how it quashed the student demonstrators at all costs for the sake of stability.

China wants and needs to make its economy grow. It's buying energy and minerals from everywhere, doing business with countries known for their lack of human rights - for the sake of its own economy.

Because of its lack of union laws, it is in a position to see the pros and cons of it, and how it is affecting the US, French, German and any other economy.

Yes China will most likely one day become too expensive. But that's what outsourcing is right? To ship capital and production to a country where you get lower costs. And who knows if world manufacturing will one day move from China to another region eg Africa?
