What would you like to ask?how long before my current UK Visit visa expires can I apply for a new visa?

I have a 2 years long UK visa and it will expire in 2 months time, I have to be in UK during that time so I cannot go back to my country to apply for the Visa. I want to apply for a 5 years long Visit Visa and I have all the necessary documents and bank statements to support me. Its just the problem of the time that I make the application. Please let me know if you know any thing about this and provide me some links if possible.
