ok the guy that im talkin to has a tourist visa...he has been here for 5 years and he wants to go to school, but he said that hes not allowed, he and his sister have tried and they wont allow them too.
i dont really understand the process for all this stuff so can someon clue me in!

A tourist visa is document or stamp on passport that authorizes the person named in that visa to enter the country who issued the visa. He is limited though for pleasure visits and is not allowed to do anything beyond that like finding work, attending school and staying beyond than he is allowed to.He is already overstaying if he came here as a tourist and could be subject for deportation. |

A tourist visa allows an alien to enter the US for up to a maximum of 6 months per entry. Since he has been here for 5 years, then he is overstaying and is now an illegal alien.
For an alien to study, they need a student visa. If he is caught, he will be deported. |
