I am a Bitish citizen and under 18. I have lived in America since I was like...1 and a half. I have been told that at 18 I can become a dual citizen or revoke my british citizenship without taking the citizenship test. My sister who is older then 18 says you still have to take the test. So my question is whould I have to take the citizen ship test if I wanted to become an American citizen at 18?

If one of your parents is a US citizen and registered your "birth to a US citizen while abroad, and brought you into the US on a US passport, and your other parent is British, then you are a dual national.

Whether or not you can become a naturalized US citizen depends on what your status is here in the US since you arrived. Did your parents apply for immigration, get green cards, and then become citizens? Then they should have gotten you citizenship at the same time. If they did not apply for immigration and obtain green cards, what kind of visa are they on, and what kind of visa did they get for you?

Clear this up with your parents immediately. You might not be in any position to be able to get a green card and eventual citizenship.
