Which visa process is faster??

is it true that it's faster to bring your partner to US as a fiance than as a spouse? I heard that fiance visa takes only about six months while spouse visa can take more than a year?

yes, a fiance visa is much faster to process than a spouse visa. all you need is to prove that you two have an existing relationship and show a picture of you together. then, file the K-1 visa. it will only take 3 to 6 months as long as you submitted all the required documents. I know coz' i came here in US as a fiancee, too. |

It depends on the # of available visas, but with a fiance visa, the petitioner has to submit proof that the relationship has been going on for at least 2 years. it has to pass uscis scrutiny before the file ever goes to the embassy. there's a backlog all around. |

yes fiancee is wayyyyyyyyy much faster and it only takes 6 months, spousal takes longer cuz its immigrant status when the fiancee leaves his/her country. in fiancee visa fiancee will be given 90 days to get married if they wont get married the fiancee will return back to the country |
