The shittes are the majority. Because of our act, the gates of HELL HAS JUST BEEN OPENED IN IRAQ. The shittes are never gonna pls the sunnis or kurds. Thus be epecting more violence.

The U.S. is not supporting any particular group or religion in Iraq. The U.S. is supporting the elected Government of Iraq. The Sunnis are still resentful/angry that Saddam was over thrown. He was a Sunni and that group ran the Country with the results now coming out at Saddam's trial.

And, while no Country is perfect in its decisions and policies, just as no person makes the best or perfect choice every time he makes a decision. At least we continue to work at it.

the shia in iraq are the majority, but the sunnis refused to participate in the esatablishment of a new government, preferring to allow the insurgents to enter and keep the shia govt from becoming established.. the sunni were the ruling party under sadaam, while the shia were the majority population, but were oppressed under sqadaam's ruling ba'ath party which was made up entirely of sunnis. the sunnis fear that the shia will be the oppressor under a shia govt and want a religious government rather than a secular one. the sunnis would allow a religious govt but would expect to be the ruling force behind the religious govt and probably would use whatever means to get such control since they favor the religious while the shia prefer the secular.
iran is not supported by the us, not because the religion is shia, but because the govt is under the control of the religous faction, and all their political aims are determijned by the ruling religious council, which is currently anti-us, anti-democratic, and anti-secular. they want to impose, and enforce religious laws in the entire middle east, including to the point of expanding their religious rule to areas beyond their own borders and region to the entire world community.

I would say ask those Mahdists that got caught by the wrath of the Apaches the other day, but they're in paradise now.

The Shias are the majority in Iraq and were persecuted by the minority and Saddam backed Sunnis (which is the same religious group as AlQueda).

I mean, the US could carry on Saddams plan and let the minority dominate the majority and kill them at will.
