I am white (last I checked anyway) and do not recall ever preventing any black people (men, women or children) from doing anything they wanted to do. If black people want to travel - its no longer the 1950s. They can come and go as they please and have every right to be human and no one to say otherwise (except maybe some "few" white folks still trapped in time - and they don't count).

As far as I'm aware, from reading the news and things, restrictions on travel to developed nations, from developing nations, is often restricted because developed nations have problems with people staying on illegally after the term of their visa is up. Illegal immigrants have to live 'off the radar' and inevitably end up in poverty which can lead to crime & drug type problems. The governments spend a lot of time and money trying to round up illegal immigrants. Its easier to be choosy about who you let in in the first place.

I have 2 opinions on this:
1) It would be better for people to work to improve their home countries than to try and be illegal immigrants abroad.
2) I'm all for open and legal immigration. Wouldn't it be a wonderful world if we could all live where ever we wanted.

The question is actually a common way in Africa to understand the world. There are those 'whitemen' abroad who come there with lots of money and just need to buy an airticket and visit the visa office in Washington or London to come down to Africa. Some african countries, Mali and Ethiopia for instance, issues visas on arrival as they don't have foreign consulates many places and don't want to spend money to buy expensive property in London, they are simply so poor that can't afford to keep staff in Europe working to issue visas. So for 'us' Europeans, travelling to Africa is very easy, it's true.

THe causes of Africans having it hard to come to Europe, well on other hand, if you look at it, there are maybe 2 million Ghanaians (10% of the population) living outside of Ghana, so it's hard, but once Ghanaians get established abroad they tend to stay as their homeland is quite poor and they send money back to their family and relatives. Some are illegal, some get naturalised, etc. and Ghanaians live all over the world, primarily in Holland, UK, and the USA I guess.

From Ghana and Nigeria, if all applications were accepted there would be an immense influx of people wanting to leave, could USA and UK cope with such an influx, possibly yes... I think immigration should be more open. Africans are hard working immigrants, ones I see in London at least are.

Pretty sure it isn't a "whiteman" issue, it is (again) an issue of the LEADERS of Africa being CORRUPT, LYING, CHEATING, THIEVING SCUMBAGS who continue to treat their own people like crap. Pretty sure most of those leaders aren't whitey. Take your blatantly racist questions and do some actual reading. Then try to make change happen where is starts... AT HOME.

It isn't "Whitemen" it is the African governments. And it is easy for "them" to come to Africa for two reasons: 1) no one really wants to go to Africa and 2) Africa wants the "whiteman" money.
