Why did I receive a letter saying they need a recent pic of mine when I sent them the very recent picture?

I took the pics on the day I applied for the passport, yet I received a letter from the passport agency saying that they need a recent picture of mine? I had to send them some of my old IDs to prove the name change. I had a recent hair style change and weight loss so I do look different from other pictures but come on......very disappointed.. anyone helps please? I spent 15 dollars on the pic i dont wanna spend another 15 dollars on pics

usually when they ask for a recent picture means that they lost the old one.And yes you have to send a new one because they probably don't have anymore picture with you.ANd this is happen a lot they just lose the documents and then ask for recent documents.

Get your picture authenticated by someone in authority who has known you for over 2 years. Your doctor or probation officer or teacher or someone like. They just need to say that they have known you etc and that it is a true likeness
