Why does world hunger still exist ?

There are a lot of factors, war, overpopulation, genocide, mismangement, corroption, I'll tell you a story but i'll change the name and the country, it's one example of what causes world hunger. I had a friend who worked with an agency who went to this country to hand disperse food, when they arrived they had to bribe the soldiers and then bribe the local govenment head, they then had to turn over the food to these people to a "storage" area in which they couldn't get to it for a month when they finally paid another bribe they found that it wasn't they same amount of food that they put in, so they had to take what little food and water to feed 5,000 people, This political told them that these were not his people and that they should starve. This is one story of many that she/he told me. Some times these governments are so corrupt and unstable they rather feed thier soldiers and themselves to keep what little they have.

I think there should be a McDonald's on ever corner of every street through out the world. Then nobody would be hungry, just obese and malnourished. We could buy the world a coke, but that would just make the company richer.

20/20 john stosil guy did a show on this subject, what is happening is the the government of some of the country's are keeping the money US and others send, and they are not giving to the people, also their own government makes it harder for them to prosper and open up businesses.

Because food costs money. Many people like to give money to charities instead of food unless it's more local. Sharing isn't going to solve the problem anyways.

Because there are psychotic militants in some of those countries. They are heavily armed and don't seem to take too well to the food convoys headed for the refugee camps. Things have changed a little bit since "We are the World" and "Live Aid".

I honestly believe because we don't come together to solve the solution. Out of all the people in the world perhaps only 1% really care. The same goes for unemployment, domestic violence and you mention it. Not very many people care enough to make a change. All it takes is the effort and team work. Without that, such change will never be seen.

Politics, mostly. Some years back the Ethiopian govt would only accept American food if it was distributed by Soviet helicopter. Americans felt that slap in the face.

Also, when we see graphic pictures of our citizens hung, or beheaded or their bodies dragged through the streets, we think, "let them starve in the dark".

By "we" I assume you mean the US. We do share, we send billions of dollars every year to countries around the world in humanitarian aid. The problem is not that people do not share, but that the people in control of these countries are crooks. It's documented that many countries in Africa, for instance, the government takes the aid money, and keeps it. Or takes the Red Cross food supplies that are supposed to be for the people, and sells it for money. Until these countries can be cleaned of corruption, there will always be hunger.

The reason why people are starving and world hunger exist is politics. It's about population control which occurs when people are selfish and believe that cruel way of MURDERING people is right. Us having an obesity epidemic is a form of population control also. They generically enhance food and make us overeat until we have diseases and die.
