Italy is a Police state, had it not been in the EU the Americans would have bombed it long ago, the controls put in by the Italian gov are there to control the people not as a protection against terror or the Mafia, Italy has only had freedom of movement for the past 20 years, Goverments present and prior are corrupt to an extent that it puts Africa to shame in the corruption leage, although the avrage Italian has the individule vote it makes no diffrence to thier abulity to change what can only be described as a controlled democratic system, the individule Italian is not a get up and go person, they will admit the system is thier to control them and complain bitterley about it, however, they will do nothing about it, It is now so tied up in burocratic rubbish that they except it, given the current situation in Italy the Goverment has good cause to be affraid, if it continues it will be no surprise if we see again Groups like the Red Brigade raise thier ugly heads....

EEC? What is this EEC? Do you mean the EU? If so it is probably because they are bending the rules as far as they can. This happens in every EU country. Try getting parts for an Opel car in the UK!!!! |

May be there are obstacle in placing a secondary seat or in installing a company in Italy.
Do you know harmonization directives?
There also limits about writing "Made in Italy" on goods manufactured in other countries. |

News to me. Italy's bureaucracy is a nightmare, but no worse that that in the UK. Obviously, it depends on what you want to market. |
