Why is it very difficult to obtain American Visa in Nigeria?

90% of applicants are not approved on regular yearly bases.

All those scams that come from there. I would say that your Nigerian friends have been busted for fraud, do not have enough documentation to show that they are willing to come home or do not met other requirements necessary.

PS Why do Nigerians want American visas? Isn't it easier for them to fake them?

I've heard that Islamic extremists are flocking to that area of the world. Naturally, we are terrified of another 9-11. If that is indeed the reason, that's very sad that a native of Nigeria wouldn't be able to obtain an American Visa.

Well, what would America be if it allowed 50% of Nigerians come over and 50% of every other country? Especially since the world talks about us like dogs. Either we have the best country or we don't. But don't tell me we are evil and then complain that we aren't letting enough people over.

IT is hard for many people to come to the US> We have top priority for refugees from west east africa.
We take in 1.2 mil people from all over yearly.
Half of those are refugees from around the globe. Only two nations have more refugees than we do.

If you can get a work permit get an employer to sponsor you that may be an idea.

Because of the poll that was done and almost 50% of the Moslems that live in Nigeria stated it is ok to do harm against the USA, Sorry that you have to be turned down for what others think and hopfully things will change, just keep trying.
