Why is the United Nations unable to stop the violence in the Middle East?

Because the U.N. isn't capable of anything. They've never solved a problem and they don't even exist without the massive funding of the U.S.

All they do is sit around, line their pockets with bribes, and pass resolutions. When is the last time a bad person or country stopped their bad actions because a bunch of bloated idiots passed a resolution?

It was the U.N., by the way, who started this problem. They created and defined Israel and Palestine.

The same reason they can't get anything done any where. There are too many conflicting interest with the permanent 5 toreally get much done. when they do agree they usually sign off on a week mandate like the ones in Rwanda around teh time of the genocide, and the Republic of the congo shortly after.

Between lacking the ability of having anyone taking them seriously and doing anything demonstrable to stop the violence. the UN comes off as the World's Handwringers.

Because the United Nations has no war power and their threat of economic sanctions does little when many of the countries they condemn don't get aid anyway. Second, we always side with Israel and every other country in the Middle East either doesn't support Israel or doesn't recognize them at all. Third, these tensions date back to religious and historical differences which can't be solved or eased with debate, rhetoric or even new leadership. When people are raised to hate other people they don't exactly listen to reason and the violence will never stop because there will always be extremists and terrorists who will never stop fighting. The U.N. is a nice theory but it's only as powerful as the nation who created it, the United States and we still only support Israel.

Becaus e of USA . Because they finance the major expenses and they see their national Interest only repeat NOLY . UNO is only a rubber stap for USA / it is for the others to complain and fight in UNO and it is USA to tell === you are right OK Ok AND you are wrong ===No No & NO. And to speak of high morale

The UN, even the west for that matter, does not understand. The middle east has its own cultures and religions that need to repected. The problem is that those views are somewhat reactioonary and anti-globalisation. In other words it goes against western, most notably US policy. I think the movie munich said it best. "home is everything". The US and UN are unwelcomed guests in thier lands. No peace will prevail while that is so.

Because the u.n. is a terrorist organization itself. The pathetic resolution thankfully vetoed by the U.S. only addressed Israeli actions in self defence. Not the constant agressive acts of those who follow the false prophet mohamed.
