Will I have difficulties getting my passport back if the lady at the embassy forgot to give me the receipt?

2 days ago I went to the Swiss Embassy in Jakarta to get my visa, submitted all the forms completely and paid the required fee. I was asked to wait for my receipt to be printed and as I waited she tended to other applicants.
Then she called my number again and informed me about calling my relations in Switzerland so they could help me get a speedier process, and she also said that she would keep my passport and forms and call the embassy tomorrow to confirm. So I left, and 45 minutes later I realized she didn't give me the receipt and the embassy was closed already and I'm so far away!
I called the Embassy this morning as the lady told me to inform my relations in Switzerland has faxed the embassy, and I added that I didn't get the receipt. The embassy said that they have recieved the fax and I could get my visa by Friday, but they said It's impossible I didn't get a reciept because they always give it when they keep the passports. I am thinking they assume I lost mine. What was I supposed to say to that? She sounded quite cross (or maybe she's just being Swiss, no offense ;p) and sounded like in a hurry and each time I said something she'd cut me first. I just said thank you and hung up. What should I do when I want to get my passport?

Give them descriptions like Time, date, Booth Number, Person's name or description of him/her whom you submitted the Passport to. Most important, try and go back to the Embassy and try to access the Interview area and meet and explain properly.
In the end, what belongs to you will ultimately be given to you. |

Just be honest and tell them that you forgot to collect the receipt. Show them your ID. Now, let them check and double check your ID and offer to take your affidavit that you forgot to take receipt. I am sure they will accept your statement. |
