The US has already got what it wanted - the sale of oil in dollars instead of Euros. This is the US's biggest fear. More countries are likely to start selling oil in Euros - Iran is starting this and has been planning it for a long time (strange that Iran is one of the countries in the "Axis of Evil") and Venuzuela are considering doing the same. When this happens basically a huge recession will hit the US. The dollar is already weak and will weaken further, imports will cost more which for a country that imports 48% more than it exports will be hugely crippling. |

suet is typically a food largely based in animal fat that feeds birds in the winter. bird food has little to do with a middle east conflict your probably referring to. as birds have little to do with this i can only assume your unclear on whats happening. The Usa is a country which apparently your not familiar with as they are involved in a war called jihad brought about by muslim extremists who would like the freedoms as we know them in america ended and returned to strict religious edict.
typically left wing extremist liberals have generated alot of negative talk on the war in iraq thinking, successfully mind you, that they can mask a power grab in the government to trumpet a quick fix in iraq. sadly, there is no quick fix as your dealing with people who would stop at nothing to bring about what they wish and as a result the fighting will go on until a conservative, not afraid of public polling and the end of confiscatory tax and spend liberal schemes will step in and provide the necessary troop enrichment and diplomacy to end this conflict.
where iran comes in is unclear other than its rumored to have terrorist ties to iraq but you cant fight an enemy if your unclear specifically who it is.
the problem in this country is the media has heavy liberal bias and as a result many people, perhaps including you, are misinformed to think this conflict was caused by partisan politcs. It wasnt. It was caused by a religious sect that wants you dead...no more and no less. why liberals cant understand that and blame the current president for everything from the weather to lack or performance in the bedroom baffles me as this conflict was clearly started in the early nineties with the inaction of then president Bill Clinton who did nothing when the Sudanese wanted to deliver Osama Bin Laden to us. There was, infact, a hilarious clip on fox tv recently about how then president Cliinton tried to defend his actions...err..inactions in this matter
What you feel this has to do with bird food confuses me even more. |

I thought Iraq was already being ripped apart by the insurgents. Also laughed a lot at Hallam . . . sounds like he/she's a real dumpling! |

Unless the USA wants to garrison hundreds of thousands of troops in Iraq permanently, it probably won't be for the benefit of the USA when Iraq splinters.
Would it be so bad if Iraq split into new countries ? |

Don't think so, after all Iraq is just one of many Muslim countries in the region, And i cannot see them all sitting back while the u.s does that. But who knows what the American government is thinking, but if they decide to stay and tear the country apart, lets hope Dan Dare(tony Blair) is not hanging onto Bush shirt tails |
