Will we have conflict processing the K1 visa?

My american boyfriend and I met in my country, and in a company where I worked for. He was my trainer for the job I got in. After a few months, we started dating, unknown to the owner of the company. And now he is back in U.S. going to petition a Fiance visa for me.
The conflict is, he went to my country with a Tourist Visa, not a working visa. Since will have to describe how we met in the petition papers we will surely bring up that he worked here in my country while having a tourist visa. He wasn't compensated enough though. He was just paid for the living expenses, and his airline tickets. I think he just got $500 a month, yet it was okay since he wanted the experience. He stayed in my country for 8 months, and paid the overstay. (He lost his passport within that period though, so he had to stay longer)
But anyway, my question is, would the USCIS or the US Embassy care about his visa? Would they still approve the petition but he has to face some other legal consequences?
Additional Details
Because if there will be a conflict, I guess we have to lie about how we met.

don't lie he could have left yoUr country without a passport all he needed to do was to appear in any US consulate, embassy instantly upon verification of his US passport they would have issued a travel document letter to present upon re entry in USA for the second part of ur question USCIS will want proof of your meeting and dating like pic together and a continuing relationship keep in mind the USCIS DHS have fraud units that scrutinizes all documentation for validity, the US is not concerned withwhater onother country visa issuance for certain he will ahve problems re applying tot he same country to return there |

I don't know for sure, but the United States government probably does not care if he violated laws in another country's immigration system. They will be looking at YOU, and examining if you broke any laws in the United States, which it sounds like you did not. |
