Assuming you wanted to work for a foreign government while still retaining your citizenship, how would you approach them about offering your services in a clandestine role?
thanks. Always wondered how these deals get brokered.

A number of foreign embassies and consulates around the world employ or contract local citizens to work at their missions abroad. For example a number of French citizens are employed at the American Embassy and other diplomatic missions in Paris. You are not required to change your citizenship to become a "locally engaged" employee at such missions. Information on such vacancies is usually advertised on their web sites or in leading news papers.
However your reference to offering "clandestine services" leads me to believe you are kinda influenced by a lot of spy novel / movies. Needless to say, you need to be pretty high up in the local government / authority who has access to confidential information. In the rare probability that this happens, it is mostly the foreign agency that will approach you if they think you are valuable to them. I doubt you will have any success if you go around offering such services openly...lol....you will probably end up in prison...trying to do that! |
