Would having dual citizenship hurt me if I sought a career in U.S. politics?

It turns out that I could quite easily obtain a European passport through my ancestors. However, I may like to pursue a political career someday, or hold some sort of government employment... Would having dual-citizenship get in the way? Is it worth it? I'm also considering serving in the U.S. military after I complete college... would dual citizenship interfere with that as well? Thanks !

I think it would depend more on where you spend the majority of your time. I'd rather vote for somewhere who is actually here, going trough everything with his fellow Americans rather than someone who jets to Europe if sh-t gets rough.

If you're born in the US you're a natural born citizen. Pretty cut and dry. They call those people "anchors" for a reason. |

Didn't hurt Obama! But then again the laws vary around him. The courts had defined, at least twice, a natural born citizen as a person born in the US of 2 US citizen parents. And we all know for a fact that his father was not a US citizen! But he is still headed to the white house! |
