PS:i'm from california, arround a lot of farms and all that. the only job i could probably get now is in the fields. lol.

One of the most significant ways immigration (illegal or otherwise) has affected our community is to provide the US with more of the most valuable resource in the world--ambitious productive human beings. Of all the resources our nation requires (e.g. oil, gas, copper, corn, soybeans, water etc.) none is more strategic to our ongoing prosperity than ambitious productive people. That's because productive people by definition produce more than they consume. That productive surplus is the engine of economic growth. To the degree that any society limits it's supply of this critical resource (e.g. when aggregate deaths exceed aggregate births, when there's insufficient investment in education, or when immigration is constrained) it impedes it's own future growth. The ultimate solution to illegal immigration is to change the laws to make it legal immigration (of course safety measures need to be put in place to prevent terrorists from joining the inflow). The prosperity we enjoy today is largely the result of the time when we opened our doors wide to the displaced and disadvantaged of the world ("give me your tired, your poor..."). Those immigrants and their descendants (e.g. the Irish, the Chinese, the English, the Italians etc.) have become the today's scientists, teachers, politicians, and doctors. If some of the immigrants were deadbeats and trouble-makers we dealt with them, but the vast majority of them came with a thirst for opportunity and as they worked hard and prospered they brought greater prosperity to the rest of us. With the declining birth-rates of western societies (including the US) we need to import more, not less, of the world's most valuable resource--ambitious productive human beings.

1- Most of them take jobs americans wouldnt think of doing
2- They pay taxes when they go to the stores
3- Cheap labor for people who need them for only 1 day
4- Having too many kids and then throwing them out the house on the streets where they end up joining gangs...
5- Gangs that end up graffitting many of the walls on the streets, damaging the look of the city.
6- Most of them dont have insurance, so b careful when driving in an area like where they are predominant...
6- Since the majority usually gets together, U can actually find some good neighborhoods

No jobs, no good places to stay, overcrowding, no insurance on their cars for when you have a wreck, no speak ah english ( i get tired of hearing that crap) and so on.

Have no problem with them but in my field if you don't know their language you can't get a job. I am not bilingual and my salary reflects that.

5 white children in the entire school my children attend.. Special classes for all mexican students to attend in preparation for college. No classes available for other races. Children picked on in the playground.

Father retired journeyman carpenter with full benefits. Brother unable to retire because illegals came in to do the jobs cheaper without union workers. Brother had to retire on half pension though he worked many more years. A young carptenter NOW, would never be able to retire.

Ex-husband (Romanian) discriminated at by van conversion company with a 98 percent illegal alien employee staff. Forget being hired if you were white. The only whites were the employers/owners of a very huge company. Several employees got workman's comp for injuries they never sustained for they were out in a park playing soccer and running around and kicking like pros.

All the drywallers, roofers, painters and construction workers in general are now out of work, underbid by crews of illegals.

No new large construction of the 'better stores' in the neighborhood. Existing strip malls are no longer kept up and parking lots and stores are downtrodden and needing to be upgraded.

Police helicopters, usually at least two in the sky at a time at night, cruising in the air like an Orwellian movie.

Parks and community areas overrun with illegals.

Certain areas are strictly off limits to whites, like Santa Ana. A man was found, dead, with a Mexican flag stuck in his chest during their 'protests.'

No longer safe to walk from one destination to another.

Gang graffiti on walls and buildings.

I used to be an apartment manager in SanBernardino, knew people intimately, watched how they collected welfare and worked under the table at the same time.

Worked next door to income tax specialist company. Around tax time, there would always be complaints about wrong use social security numbers that did not exist. No taxes paid.

I worked at an eye clinc. None of us had health insurance and yet many of our patients were from Mexico and came here to get their 'free work done.' This affected our moral and they would come here to have their pre-natal care and to have their babies be born here in this Country. They collected welfare and would come only to pick up their checks and keep their doctor's appointments and then return. At least 'those' didn't stay.

In general we are told to remember the Alamo and that they fully intend to take over the lands of Arizona, Texas, California. They call these areas, outer Mexico.

Now in the elections they hold the largest voting block and as a result only Mexicans (mostly) are being elected and they do not check them for citizenship to vote.

There are probably many more ways that we are affected but I have to run to the store now, so I hope that will suffice!

I have lived in Australia my entire life, but have been living in SoCal for 18 months, I am actually a dual citizen of the USA and Aus. So I have a pretty good perspective on whats working and what isn't. I am not saying that I am right, its just what I can see going on. Firstly, if you dont speak Spanish here, your pay seems to reflect it. In Australia its not even asked if you speak another language, and the pay is a lot higher there. We dont need to have to have the options of.."for English press one"... our crime rate is lower, our streets are cleaner, we dont have continual marches and demonstrations, we arent paying for millions of illegals, there are 23 million people in Australia, there are more than that JUST in SoCal,I know they arent all illegals, but they do make up a huge amount, we do all our own jobs, from berry picking, to construction, we do everything. It gives kids jobs that illegals would normally have here in the states, when our pay is higher people are happy, we pay more taxes when our pay is higher and therefore we have amazingly cheap or free healthcare. It just makes sense.

everywhere we go is so over populated, I can't even take my children to a local park anymore without it being full, they make some cities look like we are in Mexico...they are changing the language here to Spanish it seems. wait did you want positive or negative??? The only positive I can think is they do all the crap work that we don't want to do. They take advantage of the heath care system, welfare, and anything else they can get their hands on.
