3 million Infrastructure jobs. Tell me where I'm wrong?

The jobs that Obama will create "infrastructure" will be outdoor construction jobs. They are short term jobs that concists of working in extreme conditions, 96 degree summer heat, sub freezing winters and very dangerous working conditions. The average American would drop dead the first day on the job. Only about 5 percent of Americans can handle this type of hard labor, but, there will be plenty of work for illegals, so, here we go again.
Is it too late, can we afford to bring most jobs back from overseas. Those people producing products overseas make far less than American workers. Just one example, if we had to pay a fair wage to American workers, say, 10 to 15 an hour, provide medical, social security and other benefits required by the Federal Gov. to American workers, a pair of shoes that you could buy now for 50 dollars “produced over seas” would now cost 10 times or 500 dollars retail.

The Senate did strip out the E-verify portion of the stimulus bill. All of these jobs will go to illegals.

But Intel is moving back here.

You are right.

The stimulus is dependent on short-term jobs. Jobs that in many cases will go to non taxpaying, non citizens.

The problem is that every part of this stimulus bill is depending on a fast growing population ponzi-scheme mentality. The latest problems we face show just how fragile that kind of economy is. What we need is a stimulus bill that uses rewards for keeping good, permanent jobs here and punishes employers who move off shore.

Obama needs to remember that he is supposed to represent US, not foreigners!

You aren't wrong. He is just spreading the wealth around.

You really underestimate the American worker. there are plenty of men and a few women, who will work in those conditions. Of course, Reid, Pelosi and Obama don't care whether illegal aliens get the jobs created by; the stimulus bill. Obama has put the e-verify program on hold, and Reid dropped the e-verify amendment from the bill in the Senate. Reid is a traitor and a coward.

Reid blocks bipartisan amendment requiring citizenship verification for stimulus recipients

GOP Sen. Jeff Sessions and Democrat Sen. Ben Nelson attempted several times to bring their bipartisan amendment to the floor last week. SA 239 would require local governments and businesses that receive porkulus money to use the federal E-Verify citizenship check system.
On the House side, a long term extension of the E-Verify program passed there 407-2 (Conservative Oasis).
But Democrat Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid refused to allow it to come to the floor. Now, we’re headed for cloture.
“While it is difficult to believe that Senate leaders might insist that illegal aliens have the same chance at new stimulus jobs as unemployed Americans, this scenario may now be at hand,” says Roy Beck of Numbers USA. “SA 239 is now unlikely to receive a floor vote.”
The provision is not included in the Sellout Substitute Amendment forged by the Turncoat Caucus and the Democrats.
Who’s Dingy Harry looking out for?
“Undocumented Americans,” of course
