the reasons why some people are saying that they do not contribute are several :

- ignorance : people do not know all the facts and are often lied about the real facts which are that they not only pay like most citizens do but they do no get their taxes back ever .
.....additional info : people who do not pass the line of poverty do not have to declare what they earn to the IRS like perfect American suggested , just another example of ignorance .
..... most people who come illegally do not do it because they think they are better but because they make around a 10 percent of what they would do in the USA ( this will continue until this gap is as big as it is today and it will require both the USA and Mexico's cooperation to fix it ) and because they do not mind doing the jobs which they work on and not they jobs which they say they could do and do not do .

I seriously doubt your story. He needs a valid social security number. If he is here illegally, that means he is using someone else's and causing them problems on their W2 form. They are probably having to explain why they are not claiming that income to the IRS. That is a crime your illegal friend is committing. Illegal immigrants who are in America are felons. There are many reasons why people should come legally. to be illegal doesn't mean you are bad, but it does mean you broke the law. it means you think you are better than all the people waiting to come in legally and that you do not care about those people who are law abiding. anyway, he certainly does not contribute morally.

One example does not negate the fact that the majority of people living in border communities in TX, NM, AZ, and CA live below the poverty line.

And, the reason they do so is because employers can exploit workers due to their legal status and because there are far more workers than available jobs.

Wages are the result of supply & demand and the reason construction workers no longer receive decent wages is because illegal immigrants do the same job for half the price.

And, they can do so because they live in animal like conditions (8 to a one bedroom apartment, no car insurance, registration, driver's licenses, etc.) and do not have the same expenses as citizens.

Mexico and other nations who refuse to improve their own economies should be billed a minimum of one million dollars for every illegal immigrant apprehended.

If you do the math, that's about 30k a year at least, times 20 million, you do the math on how legal Americans can't get work. You don't go by unemployment, that's only the percent of people recieving benefits.

We can't know that each and every one individually doesn't contribute, since they would be deported for breaking our laws if they identified themselves.

However, the taxes paid by some illegal aliens has been taken into account in the multiple economic analyses of immigrant impact on our economy. Even when poor immigrants pay all applicable taxes they put far less into the system than they take out. That is why all developed countries that subsidize education and other services limit how many poor immigrants can come to the country. That is why the line is long to get in. Those who come in illegally because they think they have a right to be subsidized before the legal paths would let them in are stealing.

Probably not every single illegal takes out more than they put in, however, as a group they absolutely do. It has long been documented, as has the disproportionate crime levels within the illegal alien population.

I don't say that "some" do not contribute. The vast majority may not contribute? It is unknown what the truth is. Consequently we can't monitor what is true and or fair, or best for our nation. If they were legal and we could/would know the truth. One more arguement against being illegal. It clouds the truth of the matter and makes it impossible or difficult to make sure Americans are treated justly and with the respect they are due as birthright citizens. This is yet another reason that illegals can't be allowed here as illegals.
I know for a fact MANY illegals do not pay their emergency med. bills (I'm a nurse). In fact, they do not pay for much of what they use or consume if they can get away with it.
Consider that when it comes to "contribution" that if the USA takes two steps forward and 3 steps back when considering the input of the illegals, the situation is not going in a positive, appropriate direction. Illegality is NOT a benefit/moneymaker for the vast majority of Americans and cannot be allowed to continue.

I think there's a huge misunderstanding on this issue. What's more is that from my understanding, it's up to the employer to take the taxes out of his paycheck before paying him.

The people in question are probably those who are not working, thus, not providing any taxes.

That said the people who are paying taxes are not getting the full benefits of those taxes - hence, the demonstrations, I believe.
