That's horrible. This goes back to where "if it is ok" in his country, he still needs to respect the laws in our country. Whenever I travel abroad, I learn about the culture and their laws so I can respect them. He should be held accountable.

Honestly... This happened to me. I was at a good will store with my 15 year old niece. 2 Mexican guys much older were following her all over the store. I finally told them she was only 15 and that they were making me and her very uncomfortable. One of the guys pulled a little pen knife out of his pocket and said i have a knife!!! OK.... Go figure.???

Oh and then they left the store really quick.

Illegal Immigration needs to be stopped and we need to get accountability for all of those that are in this country for reasons just like that.

I have not heard that story before but if it is true it is horrible. It would be horrible regardless the race or nationality of the child or the rapist.

But knowing that if our country had enforced our current law then predators like the one you mention would not be raping our citizenry.

that's seems unimaginable to me. how could anyone justify the raping of a 12 year old girl? and admissible and rape shouldn't even be in the same sentence. That's why it's called rape, because it's unacceptable and immoral. i understand many cultural differences, but this one cannot be true. And how could he feel he was right? All of you are taking the bait and getting angry over lies. If he really did rape the young girl then he should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

I don't know what the law regarding rape is there, but I do know what a girl's male relatives would do to a person who raped her. He knew it was wrong, and likely knew it was illegal here. Besides, ignorance of the law is no excuse, and he had no business being here anyway. Do you suppose the Mexican authorities would let someone go with such a flimsy excuse? If they believe so strongly in his innocence maybe we should send all our convicted rapists there (after they serve time here). They should give them AMNESTY.

Sorry but you have been feed misinformation. They deal very harshly with men who rape women. In some cases they face a firing squad. This is not true because whatever he believes doesn't count in an American court system. While here you follow our rules but actually in Mexico they deal more harshly with rapists.

How does the scumbag pervert have a "right" to destroy a young girl's life? If the Consulate is serious that it is OK in Mexico, they have a problem. Besides, just because something is legal in Mexico doesn't make it legal here!

An example of this is the fact that it isn't a big deal for Mexicans to drive drunk. In America it is a big deal and it's illegal.

However, ANY time a child is harmed by a male or female, from this country or any other ...obviously ITS WRONG and ILLEGAL.

He should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and be forced to serve his time in his country ..where it might actually be a punishment...

Instead of serving time in this country where he's guaranteed 3 hots and a cot at "camp cupcake" in the cell next to Paris.

There is a huge cultural difference between the USA and Mexico. The Mexican government prints pamphlets telling Mexicans not to beat women in the USA like they do in Mexico because American law will punish them for it.
95% of all outstanding murder warrants in los Angeles are for people known to be illegal aliens. I say close the border and send them all home. We don't have to run them down and export them if the decent American people make it uncomfortable for them to be here, starting with prosecuting them for their crimes.

Growing up with family here and there, I fail to recollect anywhere in the Mexican Law or in the country itself where rape is allowed if the rapist wills it. Whoever stated this has been severely misinformed believe me. Any crime such as rape or any means of human torture is in fact illegal in many countries OUTSIDE of the United States including Mexico. I doubt the government would defend him for the action he commited. Believe it or not, there are places within Mexico where people are linched for such crimes. You honestly believe that a country who does so, will defend a criminal such as that? As is with any other country, I highly doubt that this kind of behavior is seen as admissible.
