Can a U.S. permanent resident bring Fiance into U.S to get married? if not, how long will it take to bring his/her Fiance into U.S if they married outside the U.S? Thank you.

Only US citizens can file a K-1 fiance petition to bring someone to the US to marry. If you do marry outside of the US, you can file an F2a I-130 petition for your spouse, but those petitions take at least 5 years from the time they are filed before they are valid for use. Until that point, the petition would provide no immigration benefits. |

If you are a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, you may apply to bring a husband or wife to live and work permanently in the United States. As the sponsor of your spouse, you must show that your household income is sufficient to support your family at 125% or more above the U.S. poverty level for your household size.
It will help if you become a US citizen the process will become faster |

I think you really do need to have at least one of the couple be a legal citizen before you are allowed to trawl in others, and even if you do get married as your status is not as a citizen, the one you marry will not jump to the top of any list either, basically be in the whole mix with every one else trying to get into the USA. |
