A question for Whites. Why can't blacks, asians, latins become "real" americans like you?

Remember this is the united states of American you can be anything you want to be as long as you do it the right way and obey our laws...There will always be someone who thinks of blacks that way..that will never change and that is sad..I don't look at a black man and think of him as a N____..If all people including the black community would quite using the n word then people would quite saying the words...The black community doesn't realize that word looks bad coming from them also..I hear more blacks using the N word then i do the white people..Some people think that if they hear a black say that word then its alright for a white man to say that word..You can be standing in front of a group of black people and before 3 minutes are up everyone of them have said that word..

The black community needs to stop saying that word if they want the whites to stop saying it

and please i am not racist against the black community i just wanted to explain it to you how most whites see that word..

I think that is a very broad generalization. I consider minorities to be just as American as I am. I don't call them African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans or Asian-Americans, just Americans. I'm not a European-American, so why should anybody else living here be called anything less than American?

What crowd do you run with ? That doesn't happen in my crowd. Please don't lump everyone together. I have friends from all backgrounds. Maybe the difference is that my Friends are all educated professionals.

Not to me he's not. I accept every American as a "real" American whether they come from Sweden or Southside. A person is an American from the moment of their birth or naturalization.

I'm white, but i really don't have a problem with blacks. (Although most of them have a problem with me =)

People are racist against groups for no reason at all. In my book, if you're registered as a US citizen or were born here, you're an american. The only "fake" ones are the mexicans jumping the boarders (annoying cuz i pay their medical with my taxes! -.-)

One of the Best Americans we have in this country is Clarence Thomas, Justice of the Supreme Court.
It was white conservative Republicans who voted for him to be confirmed.

Your question points up the nature of your problem. You don't want to be "real Americans" ;you want to be Arfrican-American or "Hispanic". You have rejected the melting pot in favor of Affirmative Action perks.

Asians do become real Americans.

I think you are the only one who feels that way. If you are an American you are an American I think that Black people alienate themselves by referring to each other as African Americans. If you want to be considered an American then call yourself that.

this really depends what part of the US you live in.

The south, is the most racist so blacks are treated badly there. But there are parts of the US where Europeans are called EuroTrash by other whites.

I don't know who you've been listening to, but that is not how the majority of people feel. There are trashy people of every color, every nationality. There are fine upstanding people of every color, every nationality. I don't use that word, I have never used that word, I taught my children not to use that word, and I don't tolerate it's use in my hearing, from anyone, it is a derogatory term. I have friends of all ethnic backgrounds, of all economic situations, of all educational backgrounds. What matters is the type of person they are.

Any one born in this country is a real American.I don't use that bigoted word so that is your word not mine..You can not tell me how a black man feels you are as your name says a "fat white girl" There are many great black men that fought and died for their country,as well as men from many ethnic heritages.You seem to have become fixated about black men so I'm assuming you have a vested interest other than idle conversation.. I treat everyone with respect,I am white and own my own business,my husband also owns his own company and has many employees of many different races,but one thing they all had in common was the fact they were and are all Americans.If this person is your man then I'm proud of your standing up for him but the way you have chosen to do it is only asking for the racist and bigots to answer you with hate.Perhaps you need to learn more about your country's history and focus more on the positive sides and not the negative.There are many people in the world that don't like white people,and call them names and try to hurt or kill them.So it depends really on your perspective doesn't it?
