Go after the people that hire them, take health care and welfare away from them and yes they will go. Then build the fence and any that are still here round them up tell them to warm up the strollers and get walking.

I dont totally agree with you on your assertion. I do agree with taking away the ability to work here, but we need to still try to enforce the laws we already have. some people say, oh, that doesnt work! My question to them is, how do you know? It hasnt been TRIED yet...only recently have penalties against employers been applied, and the results have been promising so far...

That would make WAAAAAYY too much sense for the gov't to agree to it. Plus, businesses get candidates elected. They can't make laws against the people who got them elected!!!!

Plus, I'm sure that the ACLU would sue everyone because "undocumented Americans have rights, too." The sooner the ACLU goes away the better.

The only real solution is to institute and enforce criminal laws with mandatory prison terms for those who employ illegal immigrants. The funny thing about most people who work illegals is they are guaranteeing their own failure. as soon as there are enough illegals in an area they start their own business and take away their previous employers customers. they also only use other mexican businesses whenever possible. only a fool would work them knowing these thing to be true.

That's what I've been saying. Enforce the existing laws...we do not need to spend that much money on a wall to stop illegal aliens (drug smugglers are another story and should be a different agency..erhmmm). If we make it tough for them they might just demand change in their country instead of coming here. That way they'll have good ole' place to call home.

Money.

As long as the largest offender of hiring illegal immigrants - Agriculture - is the largest contributor to the campaign cauffers, the elected officials will not bite the hand that feeds.

People need to demand that our elected officials do what they were elected to do - represent us and follow the wishes of the majority of constituents. If they don't then they need to go.

Crack down on those that hire them, as well as those that give them housing. Without those two things, there would be a huge reduction in illegal immigration.

We all know this, but the businesses that hire them are not actually reporting these people as employees. It benefits the businesses in three ways. They have workers who they don't have to report to the IRS, they take 'taxes' from these people (but don't really turn the money in to the IRS), and then they have them working for low wages (which is an obvious benefit).

But the government or anyone can't crack down unless all businesses are inspected frequently or raided periodically. This just does not happen enough.

Everybody on both sides of the border will be far better off....it might even help end the corruption of the Mexican government which so suppresses the people.
