You didn't say if you are already here in the US or still in your country.You don't file for a visa if you are already here in the US.You file for Adjustment of Status or green card and along with that you can apply for work permit so you can find work while waiting for your green card.If you are still overseas and you got married to an American citizen, that's when your spouse will file for you a K-3 visa or CR1 immigrant visa petition.
