About 40% of the workers in LA do not pay taxes.
The cost of Welfare and other social services 397 billion
the cost of imprisoning illegals who have committed others crimes (one and a half billon)

OK, I did look at the facts. The article was from 2003 when there were only 9 million undocumented aliens suspected in the US. TODAY, there are estimated about 20 million.

In 2002, the IRS issued about 1.5 million numbers (about 16 % of the suspected undocumented at the time) and the total amount of 6.8 million of those given out since 1996. BUT in 2003 they were only getting 366,000 filing tax returns so of the 1.5 million that took a number in 2002, only 366,000 filed returns. (around 24%).

So, from your own article there are still over 75% of illegals not paying taxes and if those numbers hold true to today, 15 million are receiving services that they don't pay for. You are right, they do pay sales tax and many do use fake SS numbers so are at least paying something in, but not enough, even funding 50% of them is more than I should have to.

I too am in So Cal. I work by a health clinic and know the people who work their, the last estimate was a good 60% of the people coming in are illegals, can't be turned away, my tax dollars at work. I work in the justice system, at least 25% (VERY conservative estimate) of those prosecuted in my area are illegal, again, on my tax dollar, not theirs (and trust me, those aren't the ones who took out a tax ID number).

SO, it would seem you have failed, but I doubt you will recognize it. I don't have a problem with the people themselves, just having to foot ANY of the bill, even 10%.

I don't know were you are from in California, but you are wrong. The hospitals are fill with Mexicans ripping us off. Riverside and San Bernardino have went from 10% Mexican population to over 50% in just 10 years since Clinton. the schools are almost all Mexicans, they are going broke. to many mexicans in one little house and you don't get the taxes you need .

Quit YOUR LYING. I have escaped from CA and so have many others to get away from the illegal alien Mexican's. CA is facing bankrupcy because of the prisons and schools being over loaded with Mexican's. I WAS THERE left in 2003, vegas is just as bad. Filled with Mexicans, over 50%.

Your stats are wrong. If they use another Social Security Card, that person with whom they stole if from will have alot to explain to the IRS for unclaimed income.
