You are not racist but rather a proud American who is observing the affects of our American rights being slowly taken away by people invading our country, taking away American jobs, destroying our values, and depleting our country of their hard earned retirement funds by working here illegally and not paying taxes into social security. Businesses are just as guilty by hiring illegals and paying them under the table. They should be serving time in jail along with a $100,000 fine for each illegal alien they have hired. This money should in turn be used to secure our borders and rebuild our social security so that our children can some day say that they love their country and are proud to be Americans. We the People of the United States should have the right to recall any member of our government who is not doing the job that they are paid to do through the American tax dollar which is to represent the voice of the people, not their own personal agendas.

My view:
Welcome to the U.S. Take note that the national language is ENGLISH..LEARN IT! There is only one path to citizenship. Should you fail to take it, you will be arrested and deported. Also take notice that on your attempted return, there is now a giant wall in place with armed guards who will be more than happy to point out the aforementioned path to entrance of this country. You are more than welcome to be here, all we require is that you obey the laws.

I came to USA from Europe 46 years ago and it took my parents 3 years to get here from a waiting list. The first thing we did was go to school and learn to speak ENGLISH. I can't expect this country to start speaking my language. If that was the case, than most of us would not be able to understand each other. We came to the USA to better ourselves and with that came the rules of this country NOT the country I left. Why leave your old country if you want to come here and keep everything the same??? That does not make sense to me. The USA is so great because of our democracy. You have as much of a right to speak your opinions as anyone else. Not to be able to speak your mind means we're losing our democracy and our rights. Now that is scary!!!

To me you are an American that is concerned about the future of their Country. To the pro-illegals and illegals who have called you and I and every Anti-Illegal all kinds of names I say this to you: Who cares? I always consider the source and weigh the credence I give the opinion. In the case of the Illegal supporters, I give them zero credence because they are attempting to support an impossible philosophy. It all comes down to: What part of ILLEGAL do people not understand?

Because of the great influx of different races..the good old American way is slowly being dissolved in the name of diversity.
Those that came here in the past cherished the American way and assimilated..now it's turning around...we have to assimilate into their cultures.

From this Hispanic person. (I was born in Peru), now proudly an American citizen, I totally agree with you. No it is not racist to want our congress/senator/president to listen to the American people. Unfortunately they stop listening to us long time ago.

All races and all legal immigrants needs to bond bard congress/senate/president with letters/calls and tell them exactly how we feel. We need not to let up. We need to continue until they listen.

Freedom of speech and assembly probably didnt mean illegals should gather in America and burn flags & stuff. In my humble opinion no your not and it isn't a crime, I was born here and want the same-things, but the same idiots keep getting elected to office and they all seem to care about what other countries want, what the illegal aliens want rather than what the American people want, I consider the American people those that were born here, those that immigrated legally and became citizens we need to preserve what made us a great country and back 100 years ago when people came legally they assimilated learned the language and worked to fit into their new countries society. Yes the children were taught about the old country but they were taught to speak English and respect our country and laws. And by the way OUR government chose English as the countries language back in the late 1700's it was English or German the voted on English.. So as someone else said welcome to America NOW SPEAK ENGLISH at least when you are out in public, my grandfathers did and so can't you. We offer English as a second language classes for free take advantage of them and not just our welfare system, learn about the country and be part of it.

You are not a racist for trying to protect your country. Illegal immigration has nothing to do with race,although that word is thrown around alot by those who think they can make us feel guilty for not supporting criminals. Our government has no interest in protecting the sovereignty of this country,so we have to do it.

you said nothing that even has to do with race, you mentioned language. If you feel this way, though, white nationalism might be something you like. we too, have the same ideas you have, and we actually try to get out there to make the difference. Go to www.newp.org, it's mainly for people living in new england, but we have lots of people from even other countries, and if you want to get local, we have people that are active from all across the country, and you can get to know them!

Wow, what a dichotomy of opinions you have received. Some accurate, some not so accurate. You are not a racist nor a xenophobe because you want America to remain America. This country is unique in all the world. When it was first founded it was set up differently than any country in the world and has endured while the others have not.

The problem today is with those immigrants (legal or illegal) who do not want to become, embrace or accept what it means to be an American. Just like every other country in the world there is an uniquely American culture. When I speak of American culture I am not talking about baseball or hot dogs or Hollywood. I am speaking about the real, original American culture, that of the "rugged individualist".

To be American is to be self-reliant. To be American is to pursue happiness in your own way on your own terms. To be American is to respect the rights of others. To know your rights as well as the responsibilities that accompany them.

In America, the government does not hold all the power and impose its will on the people. The people hold the power and lend it to the government in measured amounts at each election. This is a country of movers, shakers, religious, non-religious, hard working, hard playing, optomistic, dreamers, realists and above all honorable people.

It is a place that seems almost magical to those who have grown up under tyrany. A place where any native born boy or girl regardless of their station or lack of station can grow up to be president.

It is a place where hard work, good decisions and careful planning can lead to wealth and reward. A place where one can own his own business, home and land. But most of all it is a place where ordinary people achieve extraordinary things.

This country, this culture are worth defending. We grant admission to more immigrants than any other and have more people seeking citizenship than any other. Come here if you wish to be Americans. Otherwise, stay home! That is a perfectly reasonable stance. One taken by pretty much every other country on earth.

Yes I think racist is now a good word, so as a good person I concider my self a racist.

The Law and or laws are just to intimidate the lessor informed. Immigration is a real problem and it is going to take more then intimidation to solve the problem
