Am I entitled to canadian and/or Australian citizenship?

I was born in England, My parents are both Irish. I was told that because of the commonwealth I can get passports for both these countries.All I actually want to do is work for a summer in either but if im entitled to citizenship it would save me visa applications and fees ect.

btw im in university if theres an easier route through that way

You've been wrongly informed. Unless you're of Canadian or Australian parentage you aren't automatically entitled to citizenship of either of these two countries.

To get citizenship other than by birth, you have to go through a formal application process which involves having lived and worked in the country for at least 3 years or so, possibly more. So it certainly isn't an alternative to a visa.

If you're aged 30 or under, your best bet for Australia would be a working holiday visa (I think that's what it's called) which is valid for one year. I'm not sure about Canada.

citizensip is based on number of years u reside in that country. so u cannot get a citizenship before u go to that country. u have to look at emigration options to see how can u go to these countries to work.
