Oh its a great week here first we have an all day beach BBQ and then the Tidewater Stars and Stripes Explosion on the beach with margaritas and sticky chicken for me (yummy)... Happy 4th to all anti's..................... oh ok, the pros too but you can't share my margaritas.

Although we hardly have a choice these days. Where do they get off with 'party poppers' instead of fireworks?
I really feel sad for my kids...
But I guess if we killed one bad law, slowly we can start working on the others.
(Still it is a bit ironic that in California people are tempted to go to Mexico for the 4th of July because you can still use fireworks....) |

Seriously.....being an American was in question....yes....this will be a very good 4th of July......except I can't fire off any fireworks and police will be patrolling the neighborhood even more strictly than before...they'll be questioning all torches...any fires at all;....one boom too many and off to jail.....But....my flag is flying,,,,,and burgers will be on the grill....watermellon in the fridge, |

It feels GREAT this year. I always enjoy the 4th of July (my BDay is July 3rd!!) but this time around, I feeled even more blessed to be a proud Patriot American. God Bless the USA, stay safem enjoy the fireworks and funnel cakes. |

You're over stating what happened this week. Absolutely nothing was done to address an issue that cries out for attention. We still have porous borders and 20 million undocumented people living in the US. I don't see any reason to celebrate. |

No, because the 4th of July celebrates a war victory, and I'm against war. So, I feel that it would be hypocritical to celebrate it, even if it does mark our country's independence. I also hate the loud fireworks and kids setting off firecrackers all the time. I have to have a wisdom tooth out the day after, so NO I am not celebrating! |
