I know all the websites i can try and visit, but i was wondering if anyone could give me some in depth, personal experience about what is going to happen when my husband and I finally have our interview?

Its not as bad as you would imagine. I was scared to death. take copy of anything you have joint, Checking account, Bills, land you own jointly ,cars titles. Just every thing you can find. They were really nice when we went in there. A little stuffy but nice. They just ask questions and talk to you. Sometimes they talk to you individually. about the others likes, dislikes, hobbies etc. Just take a deep breath and stay calm. And Good Luck |

It really all depends who you get and if there is any reason to think your marriage may be fraudulent. And if one of you is from a country that is known for past marriage frauds, then it might be tougher
Two friends who have had interviews recently (one married a Brit, one a Dane) said it was really quick and easy, and the interviewing officer didn't even look at anything they brought
But another friend who married a Colombian woman said they were sent to separate rooms and asked tons of personal questions - how does your spouse take their coffee, what side of the bed does your spouse sleep on, what sort of pet did your spouse have as a child, what time does your spouse wake up every morning, what type of beer does your spouse keep in the fridge, what are the names of your spouse's siblings, etc, etc. They have been together for 3 years so nothing was a problem, but he said they felt they were treated as if their marriage was a fraud because she was from South America.
But even if you are separated, if you have evidence of your relationship and know about each other then it will be fine |
