Anyone know of Immigrant Health Insurance for Seniors?

We are bringing our grandparents to the U.S. and we'd like for them to have health insurance while their papers are in process. Not all health insurance will insure them because they have no papers... I know there are health insurance for immigrants while they become legalized, but would anyone be able to recommend anything?

There is health insurance for elderly immgrants indeed it is directly aimed at immigrants, there are only a few companies and they won't cover existing conditions and they will only cover them for 5 years until they get their US citizenship and can purchase medicare. It reasonably priced and better than nothing.

Inbound insurance is the one that will cover immigrants of any age and the others will cover up to age 74.

Its not well known and it took me a long time and a lot of reasearch to even find out that companies like this existed. I am bringing my parents over who are 66 and 74 years old. Happy to share this info with you. Good luck.

Highly unlikely. because that is the privilege of obtaining a Visa. I know because I have been working on my husbands papers for over 2 1/2 years. I am natural born citizen and I can not even carry him on my health insurance until he has a VISA

They can apply for "ex-pat" health insurance but the last time I looked into that it was as expensive as US based insurance programs.

How old are they? Does their home nation have health insurance program? Sometimes they can get reciprocity with social security in the US for pensions, and possibly qualify for medicare that way.
