You applied under the old system where everybody could apply and the system got flooded with people causing long waiting times. They have changed that for new applications. If you look at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/international/02a-skilled-fed.asp#asia you will see that the average processing time for New Delhi is 71 months. That is almost 6 years so you will probably hear from them within a year.

You do not have to worry about notcanada.com if you are flexible and have a good attitude. I have looked at that website myself and to me it looks like these people came to Canada expecting good jobs to fall into their laps on the first day and when they didn't, they made a website to complain about it rather than actually try to seize their opportunities and do something. I immigrated to Canada myself and did perfectly fine. I know some other people who did the same. You just have to be flexible and look for and grab your opportunities. Being flexible sometimes means that you have to take jobs that are slightly out of your field, shift your career a bit, re-certify or re-train. If you are ready to do that, you will do fine. The Canadian job market is very fast. Just because you learned something doesn't mean you stay in it for life. Canadians change their careers too when it suits them. You grab your opportunities, you don't wait for them to find you.

If you are really set on working in the exact field that you are working in now and you do not want to make any compromises, you can check if you can get a job doing that in Canada. If not, then you'd be better off staying where you are.

I'm from Canada so for this is taking quite awhile. However Canada is getting just as fussy as the US in whom they allow into the country. They may have lost your application in the paperwork or you are not a suitable immigrant. Maybe contact Immigration Canada regarding your application or refile an application.

You do know that without Canadian experience, you will not be hired for any but the most menial jobs. Canada uses skilled immigrants for the same jobs illegal Mexicans do in the USA because skilled immigrants do not commit crimes.
