This is the official website for US immigration and Citizenship services...
You will find everything you need here, including the N-400 form and the test preparation materials....
In a nutshell....after you send in the form, you will get notified to have your finger prints taken, then after that you will be notified to appear for the interview...at the interview, the IO will determine your english language by asking you questions from the form. Then you will be asked to read a sentence. then write one sentence. (these are very easy, like " I drive a red car" or something like that..After that you will be asked 10 questions from the US civics and history, you will need to get 6 correct to pass...(the 100 questions are on the website as well...
If you pass the test and your application is complete and you pass the interview, you will be sent a letter to appear for your oath ceremony, then you will bne a US citizen...

you should have been sent a booklet about the USA - history, geography, politics and culture.
you need to read that book and the exam will have questions from that book. |

Very hard.
The oral test is pretty easy; the written exam is similar to the one being implemented in Germany where you must thoroughly know US history down to the last bit. You need a 90% or above to pass. |
