i had an argument with a Pakistani family and in the heat of the row i called them pakis, later i was arrested for public disorder, at court the Indian prosecuter raised the charge to racial aggravation [I'm certainly not a raciest] just used an off the cuff remark in the heat of the moment, due to new laws that labour have brought in any racist crimes they start with jail , i got sentenced to five months in prison for saying you pakies are all the same! so you may not be happy with them being here, but they jail you for voicing an opinion |

We've got loads in our street, and all the local shops are owned by them so we're never short of Halal meat and brown bananas. |

No, a few years ago my answer would have been "as long as they were legal and contributing to society". Now though, after years of pointless liberal governments, 'hosting' Pakistan immigrants is gambling with our safety. It's the afternoon so all the idiotic liberal students will be thumbing everyone down, but the fact remains that Pakistan is responsible for many of Al-Queada training camps and is the source of mindless Islamic Morons who are brain washed into blowing us all up, FACT.
So whilst 70% may be law abiding citizens, the other 30 % means that we can't take a risk. Liberal pc do-gooders, I don't care for your simpleton opinons so don't bother |

On the whole I think yes. But we are not happy to be sidelined in favour of immigrants though. I live in a predominently Pakistani/Muslim area and have to say I don't see any of the immigrants in dead end jobs, nor do I see them taking "our" jobs, but I do see signs in shop windows in a language I cannot understand, hear conversations I cannot contribute to, and neighbours I cannot pass the time of day with. I also see social housing which is being diverted from it's original purpose of housing local families on low incomes to becoming houses for one or more immigrant families. I am also a bit concerned that I am seeing more and more shops with signs stating that they are Sharia Compliant, and that I cannot find a Church of England place of worship, but could have my pick of mosques and temples. I believe that immigration can be beneficial to both the immigrant and the host country, but I do feel that some immigrants are not trying to become part of their host nation and are, instead, trying to turn the host nation into a version of the country they chose to leave. I feel that if you choose to live in a country which is not that of your birth, then you should do you upmost to fit in with your chosen country's way of life, laws, and habits. |

NOPE and in response to DARREN K i think what happened to u discusting and the next time some body says the word brit can i get them arrested, i dont think so . so why is it these other nationalities get all the cases of racial crap into our courts and win, its a joke it really is.
If they dont like the way we talk or the way OUR country is then jump back on the earliest plane or boat back to where they came from, no-body is forcing them to be here and the majority of us "BRITS"(sorry to be racial)dont care what they think anyway, This is why we are who we are

Any immigrant who comes here with hatred towards British values are certainly not welcome and should be sent packing. Those who wish to live peacefully should be allowed to do so. The other problem is that we are full and unable to sort out many of our social problems - often brought about by the shortcomings of New Labour. |

What country wouldn't wish to welcome anyone with possible links to terrorist organizations?
Look at the Physician bombers working in the UK hospitals that were arrested last week with ties to Pakistan! Pretty soon these Western cultures will smarten up and stop trusting everyone. Until then use their Politically Correct mindset and go wherever you wish, regardless of who's happy or not.

If they are legal yes.
In addition to this, they should be able to come over here and work for a living or be studying to better their life over here - not just scrounging benefits.
Oh, and it would alos help if they didnt have any plans to blow us all to kingdom come. |

When are we going to start learning Urdu as our second language? Don't hold your breath for Mr Brown to do something for us because it is only wishful thinking. Gross complacency has earned us second class citizenship and the only weirdos in England are called, The English. Hurry up, it will soon be time for Mosque!!! |

NO! - not because of their nationality its because we need to get our own people sorted out before allowing others to come to our county. We have high unemployment, bad social housing, drugs etc we don't want to add to the problems. |

British people dont seem to be very happy, because they think that all the immigrants are taking away their jobs and dont want to fit into the culture.
However they are forgetting that all the jobs that they take - are dead end jobs, that noone wants to do and that they pay taxes just like everybody else. |

It appears that way. At least the British Government is tickled pink. |

Same answer for any other type of immigrant, depends on the person. If they just want to try to do well in our system then fine. |
