Many Hispanics consider themselves white folk in their own nation. In fact, US News & World Report in a recent issue reported a story claiming that Hispanic CHILDREN are learning English faster then German and Irish children years ago.
One also needs to consider 100 years ago Italians, Irish and Germans weren't considered 'white' by anglo-saxons. The term 'white' is a fairly elastic term. It pretty much means assimulated and not black. Why? That's America.
Therefore, even IF Hispanics become the majority NOTHING will truly change. They will become more mainstream white and everything will return to normal.
And to your original question Hispanics are not purposely trying to overpopulate. Thats absurd! They're just poor immigrants, brought here by people not willing to pay fair prices to some kid to cut their lawn or wash their dishes. Its not their fault. Just mow your own lawn and open a fair restaurant if your that worried about this stuff. |

First off, the Hispanics aren't trying to overpopulate the United States, they are just coming here from other countries for good jobs and a better chance at life. In their other countries they may be poor. Their kids may be starving (literally). Parents go to the U.S. to get jobs to pay for their food. They aren't doing it on purpose.
Second off, if the Hispanics became the majority it would be like a second Mexico. |

Whether they are Hispanic or not is not the issue. If you are scared that people from another color will become the majority in the country, then you are a racist coward. I am Hispanic myself, and I am worried about this issue not because they are Hispanic, but because of their lack of education and sense of purpose. A lot of the Hispanics I know don't encourage their kids to succeed in life, and that is a very bad trait of the culture. Obviously avoiding the "overpopulation" is nearly impossible, but to my views it is possible to educate the new generation of Americans. It is them who will define the future of the nation, so we must do everything at our reach to try and assimilate, educate, and encourage them. We are doing no good by just pointing fingers, since that will only create hatred against the nation. |

Yes 58% and growing. Blame the education and lack of jobs in their countries. In the latino communities they don't have a "birds and the bees" talk. There are no good jobs there. School is not free like in the USA. If Europe was below us and closer and not rich more caucasian people would be coming over.

This is not an intentional thing it is just the number as they are the highest number of immigrants both legal and illegal entering the USA.
In the aspect of this country claiming to promote diversity we are in fact promoting a racist policy of letting in a high numberof people from one country that represent less then 3% of the world population. That should distrub and cause more concern but not a whisper. |
