Yes they are and the Minuteman is accepting it.
They can't revive a dead body and the funeral is coming soon. They will be Zombiesmen
Unless they are lying and they are saying that to collect more money, who knows.
Being in denial is an ugly thing, the same in living in the fantasy that they are going to deport 20 million of illegals. Anybody who believes that is out of mind.
That also can prove that the dirty propaganda spilled against illegals immigrants by SOME antis here, is not working. That propaganda is working against them but they are blind and don't want to see what other people are seeing. |

Maybe in Chicago, I live in LA and the minutemen are bigger and stronger than ever and are at an all time high and popularity.
Minutemen are treated like heroes in Cali by real Americans and my local chapter hit 2500 strong 3 months ago. I'm not a member but those guys sure do great work and give tons more to charity than any other group around my city. La Raza should take notes on how to be great like that. |

Heck no. We need to give them more praise plus more financial aid. They are doing the governments work while homeland security sits on their hands collecting biog fat paychecks. They are proud Americans keeping America. |

No, most people I know want that fence BUILT, they do NOT WANT AMNESTY, and what Feinstein/Reid & Pelosi did to the War Funding Bill is just ATROCIOUS!!!!
I believe our Media spins the actual events to sway the people of this country. It is absolutely sickening if you ask me. I really believe our Politicians (with the exception of a few), and our Media are HIJACKING OUR NATION since neither reports the straight, true facts. Ever heard if you hear a lie enough, it becomes the truth? |

the Minutemen were blown out of the water early on with false charges of racism and vigilantism. I don't think it will be resurrected either. One interesting element on this issue is that there were a large number of undercover cops at the first effort to make an impact on the border. The accusations were simply contrived to stop any interference with the Mexican Mafia efforts.
The issue is not dead. I believe a lot of people are waiting to see what the candidates have in mind. Some people don't care. But next year will be the year we lose the country or the year we control our border. A lot of very powerful people want that border opened up and they might get it.
Odd isn't it... the Republicans are fighting hard for the people of this country and the Democrats are fighting hard for open borders and cheap wages. You don't have to look hard to find the reason people from overseas don't particularly respect us at this point, do you. |

Of course not!
How do you explain the plethora of state and local legislation that has been introduced and passed? How do you explain Arizona? Oklahoma? Georgia? How do you explain Hazelton PA? Irving Tx? many many others.
I've seen certain "pro" types on here taunt that Americans aren't really interested in solving the illegal immigration crisis, and use the fact that there are no strong anti-illegal Presidential contenders as "proof".
At the same time, tho, state legislatures in 2007 passed an unprecedented amount of legislation related to immigrants in a range of policy areas and the number of state laws enacted in 2007 is nearly triple that of 2006: 240 compared to 84.
1562 bills were introduced in the 50 states. Laws were enacted in 46 states in 2007, compared to 32 states in 2006.
Have you ever noticed that the brain trust that comprises the pro illegal trolls on here NEVER quote statistics, facts, figures data? All they ever do is spout off emotional pablum and lip, make all these verbose and hyperbolic statements that have no basis in truth. But somehow they think if they say it with enough attitude they've won.
They don't even make clever trolls. And they sure dont make competitive intellectual sparring partners. |

Nope 79% are still against illegal immigration. Chicago has a large Mexican population so just wishful thinking on their part and apparently yours as well. |

The Chicago Herald; there is an unbiased resource.
The only thing that is dead in this equation is the Chicago Herald; does anyone read that rag anymore?
I hate to break it to them but the days in which they could gin up propaganda and have it accepted as news have gone the way of their subscribers.
There are too many alternatives to their lies now; thanks to the Internet, talk radio and cable news there are other sources of information.
The Democracy cat is out of the bag, they should get on board or just go extinct. |

No, not at all. The media just decided that enough was enough and stopped reporting on it.
It's still a hugely important issue. |

Not dead, but it's moved down the list with the economy and rising food and gas prices becoming more important.
Which is sad, since illegal immigration is a major problem facing America. |

Congress tried to sneak the McCain/Kennedy amnesty bill past us. 78% of Americans said NO and the politicians were forced to vote the way WE wanted.
Now that McCain is nearly our president he will be watched more closely, as will his open border tactics. |

No. I hear it talked about every day on the radio. It's just the government won't do anything about it. Feinstein has just attached an amnesty provision onto the war funding bill. |

I am not up on the minutemen organization but I can say that illegal entries into America have fallen drastically and I am sure the minutemen have something to do with it. |

Yes, there was not much interest last June in the loudly touted "Anti Immigration" rally... it takes more than sitting in front of a computer complaining to change things. The quote in the paper is from the founder of the Minutemen, not the Herald. The truth must really frighten some people but it doesn't change a thing.
"We've lost the battle," said Minuteman project founder Jim Gilchrist. "My intuition tells me … this entire movement will fizzle to nothing by the end of the year." |

Whale NO, not for me it isn't not by a long shot.
Long live the brave and courageous MINUTEMEN for their diligence in helping to preserve this country.
Short live the traitors who got us in this sinking ship in the first place. |
