we are working hard paying our taxes so our government can send money and aide to foreign countries so the people there can have updated medical needs, enough to eat, water wells drilled, military aide, aide during earthquakes and floods. Yes the Americans are busy we have to use the computers and drink the coffee since that is our way to communicate with the rest of the world. The phone lines and old snail mail from the post office is TOO SLOW....so we must keep up with technology. If you are talking about physical labor we have many Americans who came to be citizens from other countries. Some want to be laborers on the farms, some are construction workers, some are doctors, nurses, teachers and policemen or they join the military. People come here to be free and find their dream. They come from countries where they are not allowed to think for themselves they are told what to do and when to do it. Americans have freedoms and rules....if they do something wrong they pay for it by going to jail. Every American pays the price if they do good they are rewarded if they mess up in life they pay by the laws written in our constitution. I'm happy you asked this question it gave me reason to stop and think about our blessings.
