It is not a question of being mean nor racist. There is no other country that lets in as many immigrants from all over the word. Americans have the right to know who are coming to their country. I am an immigrant form Europe and came here legally.

Americans are not overall racist these days. There is a problem with the treatment of Hispanic Americans and African Americans but it is not South Africa or Rwanda.

I am not excusing any form of racism, but it happens in Canada too.

We are not usually racist. It isn't in very many other countries that you will find directions or information in many different languages. Here in America you do though.

Many Americans are racist. I think (and hope) most are not.

The wall is a political tactic. It is poor immigration policy enacted because Congress wants to say they did something and this is all they can accomplish. It will have little effect on immigration numbers.

I don't believe that most Americans are racist. Many of us are hurting financially and are reacting to the economics of allowing undocumented workers to come and stay in this country. Your employers should be the ones bearing the brunt of the anger that is coming at you. If they didn't hire you , then, you wouldn't be here. They have the protection of the US gov't and the Mexican gov't because they have the money. I know that all you want to do is work and take care of your family, but wait your turn and come here legally and while you are here, learn the language and customs of the US. You can do that AND keep your own. I and most of Americans would welcome you.

I taught for many years.It's strange how you do not write like someone who taught themselves English. Your sentence structure is good(too good).It is the last thing a person learns.Yet you did not capitalize the word I.Which is one of the first rules in a language book. Your sentence "please be nice and see me try to learn"Isn't a bad imitation.But then you go on to blow it in the next sentence by starting out with "i am".
You should do something more constructive then impersonating a non English speaker.
