Are immigrants having trouble in Ireland?

I was wanting to move to Ireland from Canada but I have heard that there is unrest now because of the economic crisis there, and that the immigrants are feeling the brunt of it. I have daughterr and a husband and I am and EU citizen, so we would not have a problem getting there or getting work. What I am wondering is if anyone can enlighten me on the issue of feeling towards immigrants who have maybe lived there or who live there. It may make a difference on my moving there now.

No they not having troubles with immigrants living and working in Ireland. Most of the immigrants come from Poland, Lithuania and Latvia. I wouldn't advice you to move to Ireland to seek job. Things are doing bad there and the UK at the present moment. The UK has two million unemployed at the moments. The unrest at the monment is the Banks in Ireland which had lent money and near put Ireland in debt like Iceland.
