Are people angry at immigrants cause its the popular thing to do nowadays ? they have always been here why now

People are angry at immigrants because they see them as a threat to their way of life. For example, instead of competing with immigrant labor, people complain in hopes that it will go away. Another example is they feel their own culture will disappear. This is not true, as Americans, we should be welcoming and embracing this new culture with our own.

Read your history !! Folks in the 1860's were angry and scared with the Irish Immigrants on the East Coast and the Chinese on the West Coast... in the 1900's it was the Poles, Slavs and Italians. Interestingly, THOSE immigrants were 98% LEGAL.

What folks are angry with TODAY are those people who are entering the USA ILLEGALLY or overstaying their visa and remaining ILLEGALLY. We're angry with the Federal Government who refuses to enforce the existing LAWS. We're angry with the Corporations who HIRE those Illegal Aliens.

The ILLEGAL immigration problem has NEVER been this serious... and it occurs at a time of economic stress that angers tax-payers who watch the funds going to people who are taking services they should not receive.

Their arrogance and demands have steadily risen throughout the years. Why now? I guess the NAU/SPP and the possible impending elimination of the border has (reasonably) gotten many people worried.

There has always been a back lash against immigrants, but today it's about illegal immigrates. It's about setting two separate counties, and pressing two for Spanish is the root of the problem

I am not angry at legal immigrants at all. I am not angry at legal immigrants who come here and make America their home and learn English and become a part of our country.

I dispise those who come illegally, abuse the system, refuse to learn English and refuse to be a part of this country but threaten to take it over and basicly say tough noogies....you HAVE to take it, while trying to change this country to where they fled from, ignoring all our laws.....crying racism and victimhood and anything else along the way. Those types of "immigrants" haven't always been here..

It is not that they have always been here. That is true. The difference is now there is La Raza and they are waving Mexican flags inside the U.S. and demanding rights. And there are lots more than the ones that work hard in the fields.

You need to get your facts straight we are against ILLEGAL immigrants not immigrants because they are overburdening our social service systems and budgets while also putting in this, day and age of terrorism, our country at tremendous danger. This does not relate in anyway to always being there. Legal immigrants are all right but the level of illegals is the highest ever and puts our nation at risk.

Yes its the popular way to think and thats why people are angry. About 80 percent of the people that are angry about it are republicans and the way they get people to think about all the bad things that have happened in this country since 2001 is to blame the illegals. Illegal immigrants are the scapegoats for the Republican party.

If you're here legally, I welcome you with open arms. Illegals are law breakers and criminals, not simply immigrants.

This may be true where you live. But where I live it's not popular to be angry with them. They are the majority. About half are illegal. I'm angry because all of the changes associated with them are negative and affect me directly.

After finding out that there are between 12 and 20 million illegal immigrants and having to push a button for the language you want to speak to businesses on the telephone, it has become obvious that immigration is having a major impact on the country and is, perhaps, out of control. That is why we have immigration laws to be able to control the impact it has on our society in multiple ways. That is why all countries have immigration laws.

I am more angry with our government for not enforcing the laws for so long than I could ever be at the illegal immigrants themselves.

Cumulative numbers and impacts on schools, hospitals and wages, also we didn't know how many of them were here illegally and how much of the failing service was due to our officials willfully failing to enforce our laws until the marches a year and a bit ago. (At least, I didn't. Note the date of my Y/A account.) Thereafter, because the problems of those causing us these problems by breaking the law seem more important to our own government than solving the problems caused to us.

Americans respect LEGAL immigrants NOW more than EVER. It's the ILLEGAL immigrant we despise. They lower the pay rate of MANY jobs...make that money under the table and send it home to the rest of their family who will soon Hop the border, demand civil rights and healthcare, so they TOO can mass produce and fill our schools with non-english speaking kids.

That money is suppose to filter through the economy! Spent at grocery stores, gas stations, department stores and sales taxes should be paid with it. Not be sent out of the country.

It isn't just a coincidence that the raids against illegal identity thieves in Colorado occurred in the SAME TOWN that has the HIGHEST FORECLOSURE RATE IN THE USA!

Forget the fence! Dig a moat and put alligators all around. It's hard to sneak past an alligator or twenty!

True question, I think they might be mad because they are taking some of the aid that the government gives. But in reality they don't really get govern,ent help.
